The Opportunity:A fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Assistant Accountant to join a well-established finance team in Scunthorpe. This role offers excellent exposure across treasury and month-end processes, making it an ideal next step for someone looking to broaden their skillset and progress their finance career.
You’ll work closely with experienced finance professionals, gaining hands-on involvement in cash management, reconciliations, and supporting the production of management accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support treasury activities including cash flow monitoring and forecasting
* Assist with daily banking, payments, and bank reconciliations
* Contribute to month-end close, including balance sheet reconciliations
* Support preparation of management accounts
* Maintain accurate financial records and ensure strong financial controls
* Liaise with internal stakeholders and external banking contacts
* Assist with process improvements across the finance function
About You:
* Part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) or actively studying
* Experience in a finance role with exposure to month-end processes
* Strong attention to detail and good Excel skills
* Keen to develop a career within treasury/finance
* Proactive, organised, and eager to learn
