The Opportunity

We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Accounts Payable & Receivable Assistant to join our Finance Team.


This is an entry-level role with plenty of scope to learn and develop. Whether you have some prior experience in finance or administration, or you're looking for your first step into a finance career, we are looking for someone with a genuine passion for finance who wants to grow with us.


You will support the smooth running of our Accounts Payable and Receivable functions, ensuring invoices, payments, and customer accounts are managed accurately and efficiently.

In this role, you will:

* Process and code supplier invoices, ensuring correct approvals are in place.
* Support weekly multi-currency payment runs and ensure timely settlement of supplier invoices.
* Carry out vendor statement reconciliations and assist with PO matching.
* Help manage debtor collections, cash receipts, and aged debt reports.
* Support the processing of rebates, settlement discounts, and credit notes.
* Reconcile customer accounts and resolve invoice/payment queries.
* Assist with maintaining accurate supplier and customer data.
* Provide support for internal and external audit requests.
* Gain valuable experience across both Accounts Payable and Receivable functions in a supportive team environment.

Please note: The successful candidate will be required to work onsite at our Shoreham-by-Sea office 3-4 days per week.



What we need you to bring to the team:

* A genuine passion for finance and eagerness to develop a career in the field.
* Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach.
* Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
* Basic to intermediate Excel skills (e.g., formulas, Pivot Tables, lookups).
* Confident with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Teams.
* Some experience in finance, accounts, or administration is desirable but not essential.
