Job Summary:
We are recruiting for General Operatives to work on a fast paced production line on a permanent basis at our site in Dalton, Thirsk, North Yorkshire.
General duties will include but not limited to:
* Work as part of the production team in production area.
* Filling out relevant paperwork for your area.
* Keeping your work area clean and tidy according to high Health and Safety requirements.
* Ensuring all key indicators and targets are exceeded.
* Assist the Plant Manager with operational duties.
* Ensure finished product is prepared to the correct shipping standards.
* Report any equipment malfunctions or production issues to supervisor.
* Carrying out a variety of physical manual handling tasks as instructed, lifting equipment and products up to 25kg.
* Taking responsibility for the zone that you work in and the plant in general. This includes good housekeeping
Experience:
* Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
* Good level of written and verbal English
* Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects
* Ability to work in a team as well as alone
* Positive hardworking attitude
* Good attendance and timekeeping

Transportation to and from Thirsk is available for those who require it for a small charge.
Successful candidates will be given training on the job so experience is preferred but not essential. The first three months of your employment will be classed as a probationary period.
