MOKE – Warehouse Manager

Location: Leamington Spa

Reports to:  COO

Job Type:  Full-time

About MOKE:

MOKE is on a mission to manufacture iconic, sustainable, and beautifully British made vehicles that inspire joy, adventure, and connection to the environment, blending timeless beachside charm with modern innovation, redefining the electric driving experience. Designed in the early 1960s by Sir Alec Issigonis, the father of the Austin Mini, the Mini MOKE quickly gained cult status in the French Riviera, Australia, and the Caribbean. James Bond and Brigitte Bardot were both early converts. Having acquired the original ‘MOKE’ trademark and over 100 other related marks globally, in 2021 MOKE recommenced production in the UK. Over 500 new generation MOKEs have been built to date. In 2022 we were the first heritage automotive brand to go 100% Electric. In 2023, we were the first EV with no roof and no doors to achieve homologation in both Europe and America, with street legal MOKEs now being sold across the Caribbean, Europe, the USA and beyond. Our vision is to be the world's most adored and adventurous premium open-air motoring brand.

Purpose of the Role:

The Warehouse Manager owns the full end-to-end warehouse operation - from inbound goods and inventory control to kitting, sequencing, and line-side delivery. This role isn’t just about keeping the wheels turning; it’s about driving step-change improvement in efficiency, accuracy, and flow as part of MOKE’s World Class Manufacturing (WCM) transformation.

You will create a high-performing warehouse that’s lean, safe, disciplined, and relentlessly focused on supporting production - right first time, every time, with pride.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership

* Lead all daily warehouse operations: goods receiving, inspection, storage, picking, kitting, dispatch, and logistics coordination.
* Ensure safe, efficient, and accurate material flow from supplier to line-side.
* Plan and manage resource levels, shift structures, and workload to meet production demand.
* Drive 5S, stock accuracy, and clear visual management across all warehouse areas.

World Class Manufacturing (WCM) & Continuous Improvement

* Own the Warehouse Pillar of WCM, driving the function through each stage of maturity — Stability → Repeatability → Expansion → Complexity → World Class.
* Build stability first: zero safety incidents, disciplined standards, visual management, and stock accuracy you can trust.
* Drive repeatability: standard work for every process, clear accountability by zone, and robust routines that deliver predictable daily performance.
* Enable expansion: structured kaizen to free up space, reduce motion and waste, and unlock higher throughput and lower cost per unit.
* Manage complexity: implement digitalisation, error-proofing, and advanced material control to support new product introductions and higher model mix.
* Achieve world class: a warehouse that is safe, lean, visually controlled, and benchmarkable against best-in-class automotive operations.
* Apply WCM tools with rigour - IL1-IL5 loss analysis, 5S, PDCA, 5-Why, A3, Kanban, and Visual Flow - to deliver sustained, measurable results.
* Build a culture where every team member knows the current losses in their area and owns the plan to eliminate them.

Accountability & Performance

* Own the warehouse delivery performance for Safety, Delivery, Quality, Productivity, and Inventory accuracy.
* Ensure robust material availability and zero production downtime due to warehouse performance.
* Maintain accurate stock integrity at all times (physical vs system).
* Build clear standards and hold the team accountable for compliance and results.

Team Development

* Lead, coach, and develop a team of supervisors, warehouse operators, and FLT drivers.
* Create a culture of ownership, pride, and accountability - every person knows their numbers and owns their area.
* Recognise strong performers and deal swiftly with underperformance.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

* Work closely with Production, Supply Chain, Quality, and Engineering to ensure seamless flow and issue resolution.
* Lead structured daily performance reviews (SQDCP boards, tiered meetings).
* Partner with Supply Chain on inbound scheduling, supplier deliveries, and packaging improvements.

Required Skills & Experience:

* Proven experience managing warehouse or logistics operations in a manufacturing or automotive environment.
* Strong understanding of Lean, WCM, or TPS principles - and a record of delivering tangible improvements.
* Hands-on, accountable, proactive leadership style - someone who rolls up their sleeves, spots problems early, and gets them fixed.
* Data-driven, organised, and confident using ERP/MRP systems (FactoryMaster an advantage).
* Excellent communication and influencing skills across levels and functions.
* Forklift licence and IOSH/NEBOSH preferred but not essential.

Personal Attributes:

* Ownership: Takes full accountability - no excuses.
* Energy: Leads from the front, visible and engaged on the floor.
* Discipline: Insists on standards and doesn’t walk past issues.
* Continuous Improvement Mindset: Always looking for a better, safer, faster way.
* Team Builder: Develops others and creates pride in performance.

KPIs & Success Measures:

* 0 safety incidents
* 100% delivery performance (no line stoppages)
* 98% inventory accuracy
* ≥90% warehouse efficiency vs plan
* ≥5% annual productivity improvement through WCM projects

If you’re passionate about manufacturing, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and want to play a key role in the growth of a British automotive brand, we’d love to hear from you.
