I am recruiting for a qualified KS1 or KS2 teacher to work with a small group of students who will be entering a new special resource provision based in a local primary school near Epworth. The provision has been opened off the back of recent govournment funding of 750 million pound, to help provide specialist provision within mainstream settings across the UK. There are two classes available across both primary key stages but students attending the provision will be working at lower than age related expectations so this would also suit and Early Years Trained Teacher.
Pupils attending the provision are likely to have an EHCP for additional needs to include conditions such as ADHD, Autism and SEMH needs. You will have the full support of teaching assistants and the support of the wider school community, to ensure a smooth transtition of students, into the provision. It is essential that you have empathy, for learners with additional needs, who need the freedom to move at their own pace and be taught with a more flexible and adapted approach to what they might have experienced in a mainstream setting. Although previous experience of teaching in an SEND provision is not essential, this role will require a high level of resilience, creativity and a compassionate and patient approach to teaching.
The working hours are 08:30 - 15:30, Monday to Friday and this is a permenant role, subject to a 12 week probation through Milk Education. Pay is dependent on experience but ranges from £170 per day for ECT's up to £230.00 a day for UPS3. This role is to commence in January 2026 but visits are being arranged for interested teachers over the coming weeks, so please apply ASAP if you are interested
