Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities and equipment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in mechanical and electrical maintenance, as well as supervisory experience, to contribute to a dynamic working environment. The position is paid and suitable for those who take pride in maintaining high standards of safety, efficiency, and customer service.

Duties

* Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment
* Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems using schematics and technical manuals
* Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to monitor and control manufacturing processes
* Perform welding tasks as required to repair or fabricate parts and structures
* Read and interpret technical schematics, diagrams, and manuals accurately
* Supervise junior team members during maintenance tasks, providing guidance and leadership
* Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
* Assist with installation of new equipment or upgrades to existing systems
* Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal client needs promptly and professionally

Skills

* Strong knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electrical systems
* Proficiency in reading schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals
* Skilled in welding techniques for various materials and applications
* Solid electrical experience with troubleshooting and repairs
* Mechanical knowledge related to machinery maintenance and repair
* Proven experience in general maintenance roles within industrial or manufacturing settings
* Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
* Supervising experience demonstrating leadership capabilities
* Ability to deliver exceptional customer service under pressure
* Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate team members effectively

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £12.21-£13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 per week
