Role: Trainee Health Screener
Location: Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire
Salary: £23,809.50 rising upon completion of your diploma

Who are we looking for?
* Compassionate individuals who are empathetic towards the requirements of each patient
* Ability to travel to screening services in the Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire area
* Willingness to take detailed/up close pictures of the eye and remain composed
* Adaptable, with the ability to think quickly and resolve problems
* Flexible in working week; occasional evening and weekend work may be required and a commitment to completing the Health Screener Diploma in the required timescale
* Interested in a career in a care profession
* Enjoy working with the public, are caring and have an in-built need to help others
* Pride in delivering high levels of customer service
* Full driving licence and access to a car for travel to clinics
Key duties of a Screener
* Ensure patients feel welcome and comfortable throughout the screening process
* Undertake the screening checklist to ensure a safe screening environment
* Maintain the camera and equipment to enable the best possible images
* Safely administer eye drops to enlarge pupils and undertake photographs with correct field of view
* Identify patients requiring urgent onward referral at the time of screening
* Maintain a sufficient stock of consumables to run the clinic
