Job Description
Supporting our e‑fulfilment operation for a well‑known recognised brand. The site will handle the movement of customer‑specific products, including beers, wines and spirits, within a fast‑paced warehouse environment.
As Operations Controller(Flow Controller) you will contribute to the success of the site by supporting the day‑to‑day running of the warehouse, ensuring that all schedules for inbound receipts and outboundVolumesare run efficiently, liaising with warehouse operatives, Shift Supervisors and Shift Managers to maintain a smooth flow of work throughout the shift.
Working hours: 4 on 4 off days, 06:00 - 18:00
Salary: Up to £34,260 per annum DOE
Key Duties of a Operations Controller:
* Efficiently managing the outbound schedule to ensure collectiontimes are met.
* Issuing instructionsthrough the Supervisors and Team Leaders tomaintaina smooth flowofoutbound work, ensuring all orders are completed on time and in full.
* Being theinitialpoint of contactfrom gatehousefollowing vehicle arrival to site.
* Communicating issues to Shift Managerin a timely mannerto minimise disruption to the schedule.
* Participating as an active member of the operations team, and to offer suggestions for solving problems, improving efficiency,customerand quality focus.
* Maintaininggood communicationwith the customerto ensure late collections and delivery failures are avoided.
* Producing a thorough, detailed handover to the following shift highlighting potential issues,remindersand current state of play.
Qualifications
* Ability to prioritise work based on scheduling and available resources.
* Able to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.
* Must be a team player who can work on their own initiative.
* Able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of on-site systems.
* Able to work to tight deadlines.
* Experience and good working knowledge of WMS and RF kit.
* PC Literate in Excel and Outlook.
* Should demonstrate the drive and desire to progress.
* Must be flexible in approach to work and shift patterns to cover for absence.
* Be able to demonstrate a courteous and professional attitude towards customers and third‑party hauliers.
* Should have good oral and written communication skills.
* Excellent time management skills and ability to solve problems.
* Strong interpersonal, conciliation skills and the capacity to network with suppliers, hauliers and customers.
