About the Role
We're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Electrical Engineer to join an established Building Services Consultancy in Nottingham.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate to begin their career in electrical building services design, working on a diverse range of commercial, residential, education, and healthcare projects. You'll receive hands‑on training, mentorship from senior engineers, and support towards achieving Chartered Engineer status.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the design and development of electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, and data systems.
* Work under the guidance of senior engineers to produce design calculations, drawings, and technical documentation.
* Attend project and coordination meetings with clients and other design disciplines.
* Support with site surveys, inspections, and project delivery activities.
* Gain exposure to all stages of the design process, from concept through to completion.
* Develop technical and professional skills through ongoing training and mentorship.
About You
* Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
* Strong interest in sustainable and energy‑efficient building design.
* Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and teamwork skills.
* Eagerness to learn, develop, and take on new challenges.
* Familiarity with software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or Amtech (advantageous but not essential).
* Passion for building a long‑term career in the building services industry.
