Location: Fauna & Flora’s Cambridge Office, UK
Salary: £50,775 - £61,470 per annum (depending on skills and experience)
Contract period: Approx. 2.5 years – end date November 2028

Role Summary
The Arctic Initiative Lead will provide overall leadership for the development of an exciting grant from the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, steering the project through a phased, adaptive approach and driving strategic evolution over the life of the grant.
Responsibilities
* Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of the Arctic Initiative in partnership with relevant Directors.
* Steward the development of a new platform to amplify Arctic community voices in global decision‑making.
* Ensure the initiative reflects a people‑centred narrative in international policy, finance, and conservation debates.
* Oversee the project’s phased co‑design process, grounded in listening, trust‑building, and community‑defined priorities.
* Represent Fauna & Flora at national and international levels, engaging senior policymakers and community representatives.
* Build and lead a small, high‑performing team, fostering collaboration, learning, and accountability.
Qualifications
* Recognised expertise in Arctic political and governance contexts.
* Proven experience engaging senior policymakers and community representatives.
* Strong people‑management skills and the ability to deliver complex work against project aims, objectives and timelines.
* Experience managing teams in matrix‑like NGO structures.
