Florence Nightingale Hospice are pleased to accept applications for the role of Band 6 Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse within In-Patient Unit.
The In-Patient Unit provides Specialist Palliative Care to adults with a life-limiting condition. This care includes complex symptom control and end of life care, providing emotional and psychological support to patients and their loved ones.
The successful applicant will join the existing Band 7 and Band 6's to provide senior leadership and managerial support to the nursing team and ensure the ongoing delivery of high quality patient centred care. They will possess excellent communication skills and the ability to support colleagues in what can be an emotionally demanding environment.
Main duties of the job

·Toassess,plan, implementand evaluatethe needs of patients on the Ward onan ongoing basis, co-ordinating the care given by all members of the clinicalteam.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING
Essential criteria
1. 1st Level Registered General Nurse
2. Further professional studies relevant to the clinical area
3. Mentorship programme or equivalent teaching qualification
4. Degree in Nursing or Equivalent
5. Evidence of recent Continuous Professional Development
