This role is within our water and wastewater capital project delivery team. We deliver large-scale capital programs aimed at maintaining resilient water infrastructure and protecting the environment.

What will you be doing?
As our Project Manager, you'll oversee large capital projects across the Thames Water Infrastructure Capital Delivery Framework in the Thames Valley area. Your responsibilities include managing complex water and wastewater projects involving deep excavations, tunneling, shaft sinking, piling, pump station construction, M&E fit outs, from inception to completion, ensuring safety, timeliness, efficiency, and first-time right delivery.
You will lead a team of professionals, serve as the primary contact for clients and stakeholders, and coordinate with various parties such as highways, local authorities, and Thames Water operations. You will also liaise with clients, designers, and delivery teams during the project phases, and mentor project teams to foster collaboration and best practices.
Additionally, you will develop an environment encouraging idea sharing and risk mitigation, ensure projects are delivered safely and efficiently, and promote quality management. Delivering excellent customer service and exceeding satisfaction targets, minimizing complaints, increasing productivity without compromising safety, and driving efficiency will be key objectives.
You will assist in maximizing cash collection, minimizing work-in-progress, and achieving targeted margins. Conducting SHE audits and inspections will also be part of your role.
Minimum Requirements:
* Degree/HNC/HND or equivalent in Civil Engineering or Construction
* Management training such as ILM Level 5 or equivalent
* NEBOSH National Certificate (General or Construction)
* Experience in the water industry and rising main projects
* Proven ability to deliver operational targets
* Experience in civils, tunneling, trunk mains
* Experience managing designers and subcontractors
* SMSTS certification
* APM qualification
* Water hygiene certification
* Thames Water Passport
