We are looking for a reliable and motivated HGV Tanker Driver to join our Complex Projects, Reactive Repairs Contract Services team, reporting to the Environmental Services and Transport Manager. In thishands-onrole, you will play a key part in delivering a consistentlyhigh-qualitygully, septic tank, and cesspit emptying service, while supporting the inspection, maintenance, and repair of wastewater and drainage assets.
You will be responsible for diagnosing and clearing drainage blockages and operating specialist equipment including Medium Combination Vacuum Gully Units, Rotovac Tankers, andhigh-pressurejetting systems. Your work will involve cleansing surface water gullies and sewageassets andsafely removing and disposing of effluent from package treatment plants, septic tanks, cesspools, and pumping stations.
This is a physically demanding, outdoor role carried out in all weather conditions. In return, you will be fully supported with all necessary tools, machinery, vehicles, uniform, safety footwear, and personal protective equipment to carry out your dutiessafely andeffectively.
Flexibility is essential, with early starts from 7am and occasional late working to support breakdowns or service demands, alongside a strong commitment to Health & Safety at all times.The role will be based across Kent, London, Sussex.
To be successful for this role you will need to hold a full UK driving licence (with no more than 6 points and no serious offences in the last 10 years), and at least two years driving experience.
What youll need
Strong interpersonal skills with a positive, proactive, and can-do approach to work.
Organised with the ability to plan work, prioritise effectively, and manage time and resources to meet service requirements.
Good understanding of Health & Safety, safe working practices, PPE requirements, and relevant regulations for drainage, wastewater, and tanker operations.
HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence with a valid Driver CPC.
Valid digital tachograph card.
Practical knowledge of highways and drainage systems, including gully pots, pipework, chambers, interceptors, and wastewater assets.
Experience or training in high-pressure water jetting and drain cleaning operations.
