We are looking for a Financial Accounting Manager to take responsibility for producing statutory accounts, managing VAT and Corporation Tax submissions, and leading a skilled team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will ensure compliance with financial regulations, oversee audit processes, and maintain strong financial controls.
The key duties of this Financial Accounting Manager will be:
* Preparing and delivering external financial reports and statutory returns, liaising confidently with auditors and regulators.
* Leading and developing a medium-sized team, ensuring timely delivery of monthly and year-end accounts.
* Managing compliance with tax legislation, providing expert guidance on complex accounting and VAT issues.
* Overseeing internal controls, reconciliations, and revenue recognition processes.
* Supporting audit processes and driving improvements in financial policies and systems.
* Building effective relationships across teams to support financial governance and strategic decisions.

The successful candidate will be:

* Proficient with financial systems and Excel; sector-specific software experience is a plus.
* Confident in preparing statutory accounts and regulatory submissions, and managing audits.
This role is office-based with flexibility to work from home up to two days per week.
