We are looking for a committed and compassionate Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join the supportive and inclusive team at a well-established school in High Wycombe. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping young people with additional needs, offering both academic guidance and emotional support to help them succeed and grow.
About the Role:
* Deliver personalised support to students in both group settings and one-to-one sessions.
* Help maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment that encourages positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
* Work closely with teachers and support staff to plan and deliver targeted interventions and individualised learning approaches.
* Track students’ academic and emotional development, providing regular feedback and identifying areas for further support.
* Promote students’ social and emotional growth through thoughtfully designed, engaging activities.
* Assist in managing and de-escalating challenging behaviours, contributing to a calm and nurturing atmosphere.
The ideal candidate will:
* Holds a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification with a patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting young people, including those who may display challenging behaviour.
* Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues and meaningful support for students.
* Remains calm, focused, and solution-oriented when working under pressure or managing difficult situations.
* Committed to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of all students at all times.
* Works effectively as part of a team while also showing confidence and initiative when working independently.
