Senior Paraplanner

Opportunity

As a senior paraplanner at Tanager Wealth Management, you will be responsible for providing support to our financial advisers in delivering high-quality financial planning solutions to our clients. You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively to provide unique solutions on a variety of complex cases and impact our clients' lives positively.

About the Role

Attend client meetings with financial advisers

Conduct comprehensive research and analysis to meet client needs and objectives

Construct appropriate solutions for clients and make recommendations in conjunction with the adviser

Develop and maintain internal relationships

Contribute to the research and due diligence of new products and platforms

Cash modelling, which can be complex and requires adaptability to take account of multi-jurisdiction tax and financial planning

Write fully compliant, individually tailored, in-depth client suitability reports, wealth plans and financial plans

Prepare for annual review meetings

Maintaining accurate client records and digital client files

Keep up to date with FCA, SEC and regulatory authorities

Dealing with client queries

Managing other paraplanning team members where needed

Proactively develop product and industry knowledge

Essential

At least 6 years of experience in a paraplanning / technical role

Level 4 diploma and working towards CII Level 6 Advanced Diploma or Chartered or equivalent

A career paraplanner with a high level of technical knowledge

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong organisational and time management skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies

Unrestricted rights to work in the UK

Desirable

Good Word and Excel skills

A confident and quick learner of new and multiple software tools

Experience mentoring junior colleagues

Ability to multi-task and have several cases and jobs on the go

Understanding of the UK regulatory framework, ethics and principles of the advice process

Integrity and desire to adhere to ethical principles

Broader experience in other parts of a financial planning business

Comfortable working through multi-layered complex technical issues

Takes pride in delivering excellent service and looks for ways to enhance the client experience

Able to write technical reports written succinctly in plain English

Ideally, some cross-border/international experience

Good at building relationships

Enjoys being part of a multi-cultural team

Comfortable working with clients who have busy lives and complex situations with empathy for their situation

Pays attention to accuracy, numeracy, detail

Can meet deadlines/work within restricted timescales

Flexible and reliable team member

A collaborative and inclusive approach to work

Salary & Benefits

Basic salary: to £60,000, dependent on experience.

Additional Information

We offer hybrid working with a minimum of 3 days in the office; however, the nature of the role, training and colleague liaison requires easy access to the office.
