Actuarial - Life

Working Pattern -
Hybrid - 2 days per week in the Vitality London Office. Full time, 37.5 hours per week.

What this role is all about:
As a Actuarial Analyst within the Life Reinsurance department at Vitality Life, you will play a critical role in supporting the management of reinsurance arrangements, including ensuring the reinsurance arrangements are supporting the strategic business objectives and are implemented and administered effectively.

Key Actions
Drive Actuarial Insights

* Clean, validate, and analyse complex datasets to uncover trends and patterns.
* Build, refine, and stress-test models, ensuring assumptions are robust and documented.
* Spot risks early, challenge assumptions, and recommend data-driven solutions.
* Run scenario testing to assess potential outcomes and improve decision-making.

Turn Analysis into Action

* Transform complex data into clear, actionable insights that influence strategy.
* Craft compelling reports and presentations that tell the story behind the numbers.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify issues and drive quick resolutions.

What do you need to thrive?

* A minimum of a bachelor's degree in maths, stats or equivalent
* Student membership with the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (or equivalent) and progress toward an actuarial qualification is ideal, but if you're not there yet, we're happy to help you on that journey.
* Knowledge of SQL and RStudio, writing and editing complex queries to extract and process data
* MS Office skills: Excel intermediate, Word/PowerPoint basic.
