Our client is actively seeking a part-time (4 days per week), Interim Senior Management Accountant for a short-term assignment to support the Financial Controller during business changes. Initially on-site near St Neots, Cambridgeshire, for a 4-month period, with eventual hybrid working.
Typical Responsibilities Include:
1. Management Accounts - prepare and check data for group reporting system input.
2. Review actual results against budget, including variance analysis and commentary.
3. Assist with budgeting and reforecasting (Business Oversight).
4. Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
5. Ensure compliance with statutory returns such as HMRC, VAT, PAYE, CIS, etc.
6. Oversee and support the accounts payable team.
7. Adhoc duties to support the team.
Applicants should have:
* Qualified Accountant (QBE or ACCA/CIMA).
* Previous experience in a similar role.
* Ability to work independently and use initiative.
* Flexible attitude to support the team.
* Ability to commute to St Neots initially for 4 days per week.
Interviews are scheduled for this week, with the successful candidate potentially starting w/c 5th or 12th of May. There is potential for contract extension beyond 4 months.
