Shift Leader rate: starts from £14.76 an hour; increases to £15.97 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may apply based on location.
Minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week, with flexible options down to 12 hours.
We schedule shifts within the availability windows and give 3 weeks notice. We support flexibility; if your hours match closely you are still welcome to apply.

Responsibilities
* Own duty shifts, coordinating the team to deliver a clean, well‑stocked store that exceeds customer expectations.
* Be present for customers, listening and ensuring a satisfactory shopping experience.
* Look for ways to improve service by coaching colleagues and giving constructive feedback.
* Guide and support colleagues in‑store, ensuring a safe environment for work and shopping.
* Maintain a clear understanding of store performance and assist managers with actions to improve operations.
* Lead from the front, setting a positive example for the team.
* Coordinate store operations to provide an easy, fuss‑free shopping experience.
* Support colleagues with daily priorities, taking regular breaks and ensuring a tidy, well‑presented store.
* Open and close the store, completing duty cover and maintaining safety standards.
* Act as the go‑to person for day‑to‑day manager absences, handling queries.
* Collaborate with managers for seasonal, community and charity events.
* Foster an inclusive team atmosphere and celebrate colleague achievements.
* Provide outstanding customer service by listening and fulfilling needs.
* Keep the team well‑informed of any communication, changes or updates.
* Stay updated on store performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and simplification.
* Coordinate store improvements and remove obstacles to superior service.
* Follow health and safety procedures and encourage compliance.
* Recognise and celebrate high‑quality service by colleagues.
Eligibility
You must be 18 or over to apply. We only recruit individuals who have passed the school leaver age. For roles that may involve early or late hours or work in specific areas such as warehouse or counter, candidates must be over 18.
