About The Role
We have a great opportunity for an Executive Support Assistant to support the Asset Management and Information Services Directors. You will provide accurate, confidential, proactive secretarial and organisational support to help directors use their time efficiently.
You will proactively manage diary and meeting requests, external visits, and speaking engagements. You will horizon-scan the diary to highlight potential issues and pinch-points, suggesting and drafting solutions. You will ensure meetings and pre-meetings are planned and prepared, with appropriate time for preparation.
You will set up effective systems to ensure meeting and committee papers, performance reviews, training, and other key work are received within required timeframes, while adhering to relevant regulatory rules. You will collate, log, and maintain records including regulatory documentation. Where required, you will provide secretariat support at directorate level meetings.
You will manage all customer, MP, and stakeholder correspondence received via the executive and liaise with relevant teams to ensure responses are effective. You may need to talk directly with customers and other stakeholders.
You will coordinate travel and accommodation, ensuring efficient use of time and detailed itineraries. As part of the Executive Support team, you may cover for and assist other Executive Support Assistants with tasks such as Board papers, general office administration, and continuous improvement during high workload or leave periods.
Note: This role will require a DBS check prior to employment. NWG supports rehabilitation of offenders and will not consider candidates with certain unspent convictions to ensure a safe working environment.
About You
We are looking for someone with proven PA experience supporting Executives/Directors, and who can advocate for change and new systems/technology. You should be forward-thinking, able to anticipate needs, and capable of working proactively within a team.
You will have experience prioritising and managing deadlines, interpreting needs, and creating effective presentations. Strong written and verbal communication, organisational and administrative skills with keen attention to detail are essential.
Resilience to adapt to changing priorities, the ability to build relationships at all levels, and proven stakeholder management skills are important. You should demonstrate initiative, proactivity, and discretion when dealing with sensitive issues, especially with officials at high levels. Proficiency with Outlook and Microsoft packages is required.
