Are you a high-achieving Psychology graduate looking to gain valuable experience in a school environment? We are recruiting for an Autism Support Assistant to join a well-regarded school in Greenwich, supporting students with additional needs and targeted interventions.
Autism Support Assistant | The Role:
* Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils with autism during lessons and school activities.
* Assist students with communication, emotional regulation, and social skills development.
* Help adapt classroom resources and tasks to suit individual learning styles.
* Use visual supports, sensory strategies, and structured routines to promote engagement.
* Work in partnership with the SEND department to track and support student progress
This role is particularly suited to aspiring educational or clinical psychologists, teachers, or anyone interested in mental health, SEN support, or youth work. You will receive guidance from an experienced SENDCo and collaborate with a committed team of graduate assistantsmany of whom move on to further study or training programmes.
