Overview
Responsible for developing the technical electrical design of assigned projects through to Stage 4/5 as required, ensuring designs meet Primech standards and are produced within agreed timescales. This role will include educational, commercial, mixed-use and residential projects.
Responsibilities
* Develop the technical electrical design of assigned projects through to Stage 4/5, ensuring designs meet Primech standards and timescales.
* Produce MEP designs, calculations and specifications using relevant software provided.
* Monitor the production of drawings to ensure timescales are met and perform QA to ensure technical accuracy and consistency.
* Create and maintain detailed design documentation, including equipment schedules and energy modelling reports.
* Liaise with internal Project Team, external Client Team and internal Senior Management to ensure smooth delivery of design, incorporating client requirements and attending meetings as required.
* Issue and respond to design related RFIs.
* Undertake initial design site surveys, including the use of LiDAR scans to capture relevant information for CAD engineers and the internal design team to utilise throughout the design process.
* Produce energy modelling assessments and presentations as required.
* Review design contracts and qualifications (e.g., Stage 4/5 requirements, required technical reports and exclusions) during initial review.
Requirements
* Degree in Building Services Engineering (or equivalent qualification).
* Similar previous experience in the Building Services industry.
* Ability to demonstrate technical understanding of electrical discipline.
* Experience in relevant design software, such as Revit, Hevacomp, AutoCAD.
* Passion/interest in producing low carbon and energy efficient designs.
* Understanding of current Building Regulations and accredited services.
* Ability to plan and prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office package (Excel/Word/Outlook).
* The ability to self-manage time and workloads and multitask various projects sequentially.
* Ability to liaise and converse with clients in a professional manner.
* Full UK driving licence.
