You will be working within the supply chain function where you will have a number of responsibilities within procurement. You will be looking after supplier management, keeping existing suppliers satisfied and onboarding new suppliers as required. Strong cost‑negotiation skills are essential to maximise value and minimise costs.
You have the opportunity to develop your skills and experience quickly. You will be working within a fast‑paced business that has a healthy pipeline full of long‑term contracts.
You can expect your key points of contact on a daily basis to be external suppliers, internal engineers and the senior leadership team, so you must feel confident communicating across all levels. Your duties will be varied and will include general procurement of machined and fabricated components and consumables, sourcing new suppliers, conducting supplier appraisals, monitoring suppliers, and generating reports and spreadsheets.
You will need at least five years of experience in a procurement/buyer role within engineering. You should have experience working with MRP, ERP or SAP systems and be proficient in Excel.
You will be working with well‑known brands, most of which are in the motorsport industry, but they also supply products to aerospace, MOD and marine sectors – quality is therefore of the utmost importance.
You will be based in a specially kitted‑out manufacturing facility, located conveniently on the outskirts of Milton Keynes. The senior management team is hardworking and dedicated, and someone who shares that approach will thrive in this company.
