Are you a nurturing enthusiastic childcare professional who is ready to make a difference in in little lives? We’re looking for a dedicated Senior Room Practitioner to join our warm and welcoming team at GOSH Staff Day Nursery.
The nursery is in a quiet cul-de-sac on Long Yard, with numerous parks and outdoor provisions available for the children to visit daily.
Main duties of the job
Key responsibilities include:
* To lead a team of nursery nurses/assistants to provide a fun enabling environment for children to learn and thrive.
* Guiding and mentoring a team of early years practitioners to foster a positive team culture within the room and nursery setting.
* To act as a key worker to names children, carrying out observations and developmental reports for each child and liaising with parents regularly.
* Working in partnership with the team and with parents to act as a positive and professional role model to colleagues and children.
To be considered for the role you will be:
You will need to have a minimum Childcare Level 3 qualification and experience of a room leader role in a busy nursery environment covering the age range 3 months – 5 years, together with excellent knowledge of the child development and current practices.
