Better Self Allied Health, part of Lutheran Care, is a for-purpose service supporting children, adults, and families through allied health, disability, and wellbeing programs.
We’re growing and excited to welcome a passionate Speech Pathologist to our team, working across our Prospect and Salisbury sites. Whether you’re just starting out or bring years of experience, we’d love to hear from you.
You will provide exceptional care through evidence‑based assessment and treatment for clients with complex communication and swallowing needs. You’ll have the opportunity to develop your skills and make a meaningful impact on the lives of those we support, while committing to continuous learning and contributing to the development of our team in a supportive, collaborative environment.
You will manage a generalist caseload – primarily paediatric, with some adult clients experiencing a range of communication difficulties. You’ll contribute to new swallowing and paediatric feeding supports and have the opportunity to work with our specialist Stuttering and Cluttering Clinic, a standout service for children and adults known for client‑centred and innovative approaches.
Responsibilities
* Client Management: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, communication, and swallowing needs. Develop and implement evidence‑based treatment plans tailored to individual goals. Provide therapy to support sound production, voice, fluency, vocabulary, and sentence structure.
* Professional Development: Participate in ongoing learning opportunities, clinical supervision, team days, and support programs to build and maintain your skills.
* Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with Senior Speech Pathologists and the Clinical Lead. Contribute to team development through regular communication and knowledge sharing.
* Client‑Centred Care: Build positive relationships with clients, families, and support networks. Work from a neuro‑affirming perspective and lead or contribute to group programs where appropriate.
* Administrative Responsibilities: Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation. Complete necessary NDIS modules and manage administrative tasks using our business systems.

Qualifications
* Certified Practising Speech Pathology status.
* At least 1 year of clinical experience as a Speech Pathologist.
* Registered with Speech Pathology Australia
* Professional Insurance and Public Liability (PL and PI)
* Current Police Check and SA Working with Children’s Check
