We’re seeking an experienced Intercompany Accountant to take a lead role in resolving complex intercompany mismatches, particularly those involving timing differences, Goods In Transit (GIT), and inventory transfers. This role will focus on identifying and resolving GRNI vs IR discrepancies, ensuring accurate alignment across sending and receiving entities.
You’ll collaborate closely with Supply Chain, Procurement, and Finance teams to drive alignment between physical goods movement and financial recognition, while contributing to process improvements—enhancing GIT visibility, streamlining system triggers, and supporting automation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading the resolution of complex intercompany mismatches, particularly those related to timing differences, Goods In Transit (GIT), or inventory in transfer between entities.
* Identifying and resolving GRNI (Goods Received Not Invoiced) vs IR (Invoice Received) discrepancies between sending and receiving entities.
* Coordinating with Supply Chain, Procurement, and Finance to ensure proper alignment of goods movement and accounting recognition.
* Collaborating on process redesign to enhance intercompany flows, including improvements in GIT visibility, system triggers, and automation.
* Process and reconcile intercompany transactions between global entities.
* Prepare and review intercompany journal entries and recharges.
* Perform monthly and quarterly intercompany reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
* Coordinate with international finance teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
* Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
* Assist with audit requests and intercompany documentation.
* Support transfer pricing documentation and intercompany agreements.
* Drive improvements in intercompany processes and systems.
Skills and Experience
* Must be CIMA/ACCA qualified
* Relevant experience in intercompany or general accounting
* Strong understanding of accounting principles
* Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial reconciliation tools
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Detail-oriented, organized, and deadline-driven
