The Aspire Training Team are currently recruiting for a punctual, reliable and enthusiastic individual to join Little Crickets Forest School as a Level 3 Childcare Apprentice.
Nestled in a secure location in the heart of Central Bournemouth! Our Forest School offers children a unique learning experience that is immersed in nature. Led by a team of skilled and passionate Forest School educators, we provide an enriching environment where children explore, learn, and grow amidst the beauty of the natural world. Through hands-on activities and guided adventures, we foster curiosity, resilience, and a deep connection with the outdoors, nurturing a lifelong love for learning and the environment.
Your roles and responsibilities will include;
1. Plan and implement engaging activities to suit the outdoor learning environment, incorporating the principles of forest school education
2. To promote all areas of children learning and development
3. Observe and assess children's progress, tailoring activities to suit individual needs and interests
4. Conduct thorough risk assessments to ensure a safe learning environment, while encouraging children to take calculated risks and develop resilience
5. Work closely with other educators, parents to communicate progress, share experiences, and promote the benefits of outdoor education
6. Instil environmental awareness and conservation ethics through experiential learning and appreciation of nature
7. Maintain high standards of health and safety, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices
Requirements;
8. Level 2 Childcare Qualification is essential when applying for this role
9. You must be able to gain a clear DBS
10. Have GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English Language, or equivalent
11. Must be comfortable with being outdoors and be willing to learn Forest School training
Hours;
12. Little Crickets Forest School is open from 08:00 – 18:00 Monday to Friday
13. The successful candidate will be required to work a minimum of 30 hours per week with shift patterns to be discussed
