Position
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health Visitor within our Children and Families Health Team based in Irvine. This post is offered on a permanent basis.
Hours
29.6 hours per week. From 1 April 2026, the working week for NHS Agenda for Change staff in Scotland will be reduced. Full-time hours will reduce from 37 to 36 hours (pro rata for part-time staff) without loss of earnings.
Qualifications and Requirements
UK Driving Licence is essential for this role.
Knowledge, Training And/or Experience Required For This Post
* Registered nurse or midwife at degree level or equivalent
* Post-registration qualification in Health Visiting/Public Health Nursing and be registered on Part 3 of the NMC register
* Educated to Masters level in a relevant nursing area, or
* Can demonstrate an equivalent level of knowledge gained through, for example, completion of NES modules on Assessment.

Work in partnership with families and colleagues in NHS and partner services to enable children to have the best possible start in life. The nursing service supports learning and development and provides team members with continual learning and development opportunities in line with changing legislation, policy and practice in children’s services.
