The Employer:
We are looking to fill the role of a Property Surveyor within a housing environment. Our client is ambitious with a 5-year plan to create a sustainable future for social housing by building new homes and investing in existing ones to create vibrant, thriving communities.
The Role:
* Carrying out property surveys to identify repair solutions.
* Managing and resolving challenging projects while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
* Collaborating with contractors, clients, and in-house teams to maintain the housing stock to high standards.
* Preparing schedules of work and project management support, including quotations for minor and major works, with appropriate technical surveying expertise.
* Ensuring health and safety compliance across all projects, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
* Providing technical support to the legal department regarding disrepair or legal claims.
The Candidate will need:
* Extensive experience with domestic dwellings from a technical management perspective, with an understanding of the built environment.
* Good knowledge of building diagnosis and fault-finding.
* Understanding of health and safety legislation relevant to housing management and construction.
* Knowledge of project management, including developing specifications, contracts, and managing health and safety.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance management software.
* Full driving license and access to own transport or ability to travel efficiently to various locations.
* Qualification in a construction-related field (HNC/HND or equivalent).
* Membership of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (advantageous).
Summary:
This role is full-time and permanent, working 37 hours per week. An enhanced DBS check is required or already held.
