Advance your career with a professional opportunity as a Payroll Officer based in Christchurch. Join a dedicated team responsible for managing payroll for over 1,300 Citycare Group employees nationwide. In this role, you will ensure the accurate and timely processing of both waged and salaried payrolls using the PayGlobal system. Your responsibilities will include resolving payroll queries, maintaining compliance with relevant policies and legislation, preparing reports, and supporting account reconciliations. The Payroll Team is part of the Citycare Group Finance function which supports businesses within the Group: Citycare Property, Citycare Water and Apex Water. Group Finance sits within the Citycare Property business.

We’re seeking an experienced payroll professional managing large payroll cycles, with exceptional attention to detail, and a strong commitment to confidentiality, accuracy, and integrity in handling employee pay and personal information.
What You’ll Bring to the Table | Ngā Mea ka Mauria e Koe ki te Rūnanga
* Minimum of 2+ years' experience in Payroll.
* Working knowledge of payroll best practices and New Zealand payroll legislation and requirements.
* Prior experience with using PayGlobal.
* Familiarity with collective agreements.
* Strong planning, organisational ability, and self-management skills.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
* A high level of attention to detail to maintain accurate payroll records, calculations, and reporting.
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
