This is an exciting opportunity to support learners from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5, managing a range of subjects and classroom settings while maintaining a calm and positive learning environment. Key responsibilities • Delivering pre-planned lessons to whole classes in the absence of the regular teacher • Supporting students to stay on task, manage behaviour positively, and complete learning activities effectively • Collaborating with teaching staff to ensure continuity of learning and student progress • Assisting with basic lesson preparation and follow-up activities where needed • Covering a variety of subjects – perfect for those who enjoy variety and are confident across the curriculum Who we’re looking for • Has classroom experience in a secondary setting, either as a teaching assistant, HLTA, ECT, or qualified teacher • Is calm, confident, and able to manage whole-class behaviour • Understands the importance of clear instructions and consistent routines • Is flexible, proactive, and keen to make a positive impact in every lesson • Has a genuine passion for supporting young people’s education and well-being This is an ideal role for someone seeking full-time work without the full planning and marking responsibilities of a teaching role.
