About Us
ShowerSpaah is a highly innovative patented daily living aid transforming how people shower with safety, dignity and independence. We've got an established customer base D2C and now we're scaling fast across care homes, social housing, adaptations contractors, local authorities, occupational therapists and healthcare providers.
Backed by Oxford University Innovation and Innovate UK, this is a chance to join a well-funded start-up with strong momentum and real purpose.
The Role
This isn't just another sales job. This is one of the first and most significant hires into the business — a chance to get in on the ground floor of a high-potential healthtech startup.
We're looking for an experienced Business Development Manager who knows their way around the industry, understands the routes to market, and can bring existing relationships to accelerate our growth. You'll be driving sales across B2B channels, supporting distributors, and building long-term partnerships in the care, healthcare and adaptations sector.
For the right person, this role has the potential to grow into a senior leadership position — and may include equity participation.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead sales growth across care homes, contractors, distributors and healthcare providers.
* Leverage your existing network and industry knowledge to open doors and secure partnerships.
* Build and manage a pipeline of opportunities, from first contact through to closed deals.
* Represent the company at trade shows, conferences and customer sites.
* Work closely with the founder to shape and deliver our go-to-market strategy.
* Provide insight on market trends, competitor activity and customer needs.
About You
* Proven track record in B2B sales or business development, ideally in healthcare, mobility, assistive tech, or related sectors.
* Strong industry network and the ability to connect at decision-maker level.
* Self-starter, confident in building relationships and driving growth in a fast-moving environment.
* Comfortable working in a startup context — hands-on, adaptable, and excited by the opportunity to make a visible impact.
* Passionate about improving quality of life for vulnerable or older people.
