Principal Consultant – Cyber Security Engineering
Salary: Depending on experience
Location: Luton / Bristol – Hybrid – 2-3 days a week on site
I’m on the lookout for a Principal Consultant, focusing on Security Engineering, to work for a globally renowned defence organisation, who are continuing to grow and bring in more work.
The successful candidate will provide technical security engineering consultancy to a range of clients, although they will mainly be in the defence sector.
This role will involve
* Providing security expertise and consultancy to the companies’ clients, who are mainly in the defence sector, but can include government and non-defence clients.
* Conducting cyber risk assessment activities including threat modelling, vulnerability analysis and analysis of mitigation solutions.
* Coordinating with other product engineers, system architects, and developers to provide oversight in the development of robust solutions.
What I’m looking for
* Minimum of SC Clearance eligibility.
* At least 1, ideally 2 or more of the following certificates: CISSP, CISM, Security+, CRISC, CASP or SANS GCFE, GCFA, GNFA, GCTI, GREM, or GCIH
* Experience in Risk analysis and reporting to executive-level
* Ability to communicate effectively, written and verbal, with internal and external customers (e.g., Programme Management, Customers, and Suppliers).
* Strong understanding of security compliance & detailed knowledge of a control framework such as NIST SP800-53 and ISO270002, IEC62443.
* Expert understanding of security maturity & detailed knowledge of a security maturity frameworks such as NIST CSF and its Implementation Tiers, C2M2 and NCSC CAF.
