Job Description
We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. In this role, you will work in a fast-paced retail environment where no day is the same.
You will play an important role in the daily operations of our store by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and helping maintain the store’s appearance.
With the customer at the center of everything we do, you will constantly seek ways to improve service through on-the-job coaching and feedback.
Ensuring safety and a welcoming environment for both customers and staff is also a key part of your responsibilities.
You will be Responsible For
* Serving customers with passion and pride, delivering natural service.
* Encouraging customer feedback via the ‘Have Your Say’ survey.
* Working across all store areas including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines to meet customer needs.
* Applying training to ensure safety in all tasks.
* Participating in seasonal, community, and charity events to foster an inclusive atmosphere.
* Understanding store performance and contributing to profit goals.
* Living our values, making everyone feel welcome, and following policies.
* Clocking in and out accurately to ensure correct payment.
* Following security procedures and wearing safety equipment where available.
* Following the Think 25 policy when serving age-restricted products.
* Responding promptly to assistance calls or interventions, explaining actions to customers.
* Maintaining a clean, tidy, and organized store environment.
* Potentially managing shifts in the absence of supervisors.
* Following all training to keep everyone safe and compliant.
* If applicable, managing Post Office operations and passing necessary background checks.
