We are seeking a talented individual to join our Risk Team in Marsh McLennan. This role will be based in our London office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
The Senior Risk Manager will be working with the wider Risk Function in ensuring that the annual Risk Management Plan is delivered effectively and that valued risk advice is provided to the business. You will play a key rolein partnering withselectedbusinessareas, providingguidance,adviceandchallenge.In particular, youwill take an active role in working with the Marsh Specialty Leaders and Business areas.

We will rely on you to:
5. Take a lead role on the business areas you partner with, includinga number ofSpecialty businesses. This includesprovidinga risk view atthe first linebusiness governance committeesandworkingcollaboratively with first line of defence Risk Championsand Business Leaders.
6. Share your ownperspectiveson the key risks facing Marsh in the UK,taking into accountyour insights from meetings with the businessand external sources.
7. Lead RCSA (Risk & ControlSelf Assessment) meetings and other (ad-hoc) engagements with the business and take an active role in ensuring the risk registers have been appropriated updated with quality information on the risks,controlsand actions.
8. Produce high quality, targeted (draft) risk reporting for Committees and Executives. This includes well-articulated narratives on key risks, updates on the status of risks, controls andactions and ensuring the information is presentable such that it is suitable for a senior audience.
9. Help lead on various Risk Management deep dives / strategic projects, e.g. M&A, control enhancements, and other strategic opportunities astheyarise.
10. Lead the business on the enhancement of their controls, KRIs and other activitiesrequired.
11. Provide the necessary training and coaching to first line Risk Co-ordinators/ Risk Champions.
12. Support the wider Marsh Risk agenda as needed by working closely with Compliance and other colleagues in the UK and globally.
What you need to have:
13. Risk management experience, including involvement in key risk management processes such as risk and control assessments, incident management, control reviews, thematic reviews, risk appetite, development of Key Risk Indicators and producing committee reports.
14. Insurance/ Insurance Broking, Lloyd’s market, in particular Specialty lines, experience is strongly preferred. Some experience(in a risk function capacity)in facilities and delegated authoritieswill be beneficial but not essential.
15. Ability to work effectively with a range of senior stakeholders on risk matters, with sufficient experience to drive engagement and competency in risk management across the organisation.
16. Experience writing high quality risk reporting.
