Northamptonshire/Cambridgeshire
Competitive Remuneration Package
The Brooke Weston Trust educates nearly 9,000 children across Northamptonshire and Cambridgeshire. We are an organisation founded in a philanthropic conviction to improve life and career prospects for children, whatever their background. We do not shy away from challenge, the true reward for which is the genuine difference that we make every year to the life prospects of young people and the communities we serve.
The majority of our 12 schools (six primary and six secondary) serve areas of significant socio-economic disadvantage. At the heart of our approach is a firm commitment to inclusion and our core value of ‘Ambition for All’, which applies to staff and students alike. This can be seen through our determination to enable every student to gain their ‘tickets for life’ and our deep investment in Trust-wide staff development, including our unique BWT leadership programmes, and our extensive Teaching School Hub offer.
We are now looking for an outstanding leader as successor to Dr Andrew Campbell, who has overseen a trajectory of improvement such that all our schools are now sustainably successful, several for the first time ever, after long histories of underperformance.
To be our new CEO, you will relish challenge and convincingly demonstrate your passion for improving education in ways that align with the Trust’s values, ethos and ambition. You will have a strong track record of leading or delivering lasting school improvement in challenging contexts using methods that create maximum benefit and the best impact for students. The Trust is proud of its partnerships with others to improve education for children in our schools and the wider region, whilst contributing to the national agenda where we can. Convincing experience of leadership with a partnership mindset is important to us.
If you feel you have the skills, expertise and personal qualities to lead us to further success, then we would like to hear from you. More information on the role including the job and person specification, can be found at www.pentir.com/roles/bwtceo. For a confidential discussion please call our advising consultant Mike Phillips (07830 313915) at Pentir.
Closing date: Monday 1st December.
