As part of continued growth, they are seeking a Tax Compliance & Reporting Specialist to join their finance team.
The Role
As a Tax Compliance & Reporting Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of high-quality tax compliance and reporting across the business.
Working closely with senior members of the tax and finance teams, you will gain exposure to a broad range of tax matters while playing a key role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of tax filings and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare UK corporate tax returns and supporting tax computations
* Assist with the coordination of international tax compliance with external advisors
* Support quarterly and annual tax reporting, including IFRS or UK GAAP provisions
* Prepare tax accounting entries, including current and deferred tax calculations
* Gather and analyse financial data required for tax reporting and compliance
* Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate information flow
* Support interactions with external auditors and tax authorities where required
* Assist with transfer pricing documentation and related processes
* Maintain and improve tax compliance processes and documentation
* Provide support on ad hoc tax projects and initiatives
Requirements
* ACA, ACCA, or CTA part-qualified or qualified (or equivalent)
* Experience in corporate tax compliance and/or reporting
* Background in practice or industry, ideally within financial services or a multinational environment
* Good understanding of UK tax legislation and reporting requirements
* Strong analytical and numerical skills with a high level of attention to detail
* Ability to work independently while managing multiple deadlines
* Strong communication and organisational skills
Desirable
* Exposure to the insurance sector or financial services
* Experience with IFRS or UK GAAP tax reporting
* Awareness of international tax concepts
* Experience working with large datasets or financial systems
