Environmental, Health and Safety Advisor (EHS Advisor)
1. Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours
2. 100% onsite
Catalent’s Nottingham facility focuses on early-stage development of small molecule drug candidates from the bench to clinic. This facility offers an array of services that support oral dosage forms that include characterization, formulation and analytical development, manufacturing and clinical packaging, labelling and worldwide distribution. This MHRA approved facility includes cGMP dose form manufacturing, packaging, analytical and development laboratories with OEB 1-3 and controlled drug storage to handle even your most challenging products.
As an EHS Advisor, you will support the daily management, implementation, and continuous improvement of our EHS systems and standards on site. You will be a trusted partner to the business—coaching, influencing, and helping teams embed a strong safety culture.
This is a hands-on role, reporting to the Manager HSE, and will have broad exposure across laboratory, pharmaceutical, and operational environments.
The Role:
3. Play a key role in delivering our site‑wide EHS strategy and keeping everyday safety practices running smoothly.
4. Champion continuous improvement by enhancing EHS processes, systems and performance.
5. Coach and empower teams to effectively manage incidents, investigations and root‑cause learning.
6. Manage key stakeholders from across all areas of the site, as well as the wider organisation
7. Lead engaging audits, inspections and GEMBA walks that drive real safety awareness.
8. Support teams with risk assessments and ensure EHS documentation stays accurate and compliant.
9. Deliver impactful EHS training and inductions that strengthen our safety culture, using creative and informative presenations.
10. Manage essential EHS platforms, meetings and compliance activities that keep the site running safely.
11. Support emergency preparedness, health surveillance and cost‑effective EHS planning.
The Candidate:
12. NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) is desirable
13. Strong interest in health & safety and prior involvement in site based environmental, health and safety initiatives
14. Strong communication skills and ability to influence at all levels
15. Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
16. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
17. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
18. Experience working in scientific laboratories or the pharmaceutical industry, desirable
