Maintenance Fitter – Chipping Sodbury Salary:£13.29 per hour + Productivity Bonus

Join our team at Heidelberg Materials as aMaintenance Fitterand play a vital role in keeping our production plant operating safely, efficiently, and reliably.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Support plant start-up and shut-down routines to maximise throughput
* Operate, inspect, and maintain equipment to meet productivity and maintenance KPIs
* Carry out mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance
* Assist with planned shutdowns and ensure maintenance tasks are completed safely and efficiently
* Perform welding, fabrication, and mechanical fault finding
* Maintain accurate records using our SAP-based maintenance system
* Train and supervise apprentices as required
* Travel to other local Heidelberg Materials sites when needed (travel allowance may apply)
What You’ll Bring
* Mechanical maintenance experience in a heavy industrial setting
* Ability to operate tools and machinery safely and effectively
* Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental standards
* A proactive, team-oriented mindset with good communication skills
