About Us
NHS Golden Jubilee is a national institution with a unique mission: to deliver safe, high‑quality, person‑centred care while supporting Scotland’s health service through innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
As a major national resource, we bring together a modern elective hospital, world‑leading heart and lung services, and a growing expansion programme — all underpinned by a commitment to excellence in safety, quality, and experience for patients, visitors, and staff.
Our Security Team is an important part of this commitment, helping to maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment across our estate. Joining us means becoming part of a forward‑thinking, supportive organisation where your contribution plays a meaningful role in protecting our people, facilities, and overall healthcare mission.
About You
We are looking to recruit someone who brings a calm, confident presence and a genuine commitment to helping people feel safe and supported. You communicate clearly, build rapport easily, and can adapt your approach to suit patients, visitors, colleagues and contractors. You should be responsible and trustworthy, able to use your own initiative when working alone, and confident in carrying out security or safety‑related duties as needed. You will bring a proactive approach and a positive attitude to the role, while being an active and supportive team player who contributes to a strong, collaborative team environment.
You will uphold Health & Safety guidelines at all times and take pride in ensuring a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
No formal qualifications are required, as full training will be provided. However, you should have excellent communication skills and the ability to develop effective working relationships across a wide range of personnel. A working knowledge of security would be an advantage as would basic IT Skills and previous security‑related experience.
