Job Details

As a PDI Workshop Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring every device that leaves our workshop is fully built, configured, and ready to perform perfectly in a client environment. You will take ownership of the full pre‑delivery process – from unboxing through to final testing and preparation for dispatch.

Hours: Mon to Fri 08:00 - 17:00, 42.5 hours per week.


Responsibilities

* Assemble and prepare photocopiers and printers for deployment.
* Install peripherals and upgrade firmware.
* Configure devices to meet specific client requirements.
* Complete system initialisation, calibration, and functional testing.
* Apply manufacturer and Apogee settings.
* Prepare devices safely for transportation.
* Maintain accurate records across internal systems.
* Keep the workshop organised, safe, and efficient.


Qualifications / Skills

* Experience in a hands‑on, technical, mechanical, or production‑based environment (e.g., workshop, assembly, IT hardware) OR demonstrable practical technical ability.
* Comfortable using computers and basic software such as Microsoft Excel and Word.
* Ability to follow technical processes accurately and consistently.
* Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and right‑first‑time delivery.
* Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
* Reliable, punctual, and able to manage workload effectively.
