Dawson Jones Recruitment is supporting a leading public sector organisation in the appointment of aSenior Maintenance Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a multi-skilled team, delivering a safe, efficient and customer-focused maintenance service across a diverse estate.
About the Role:
This hands-on leadership role covers planned and reactive maintenance, statutory compliance, and the management of both in-house staff and contractors across electrical, mechanical, and building trades.
Responsibilities:
* Leading the Estates & Facilities maintenance function
* Managing planned and reactive maintenance programmes
* Implementing robust Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) and Health & Safety procedures
* Overseeing Building Management Systems (BMS), asset records, and CAFM system data
* Driving energy efficiency and carbon-reduction initiatives
* Contractor, budget, and project oversight
Qualifications:
* 5 + years experience leading maintenance operations in a large estate or public-sector environment
* Mechanical background preferred (electrical considered) with relevant trade or engineering qualification (HNC / HND / apprenticeship)
