Astute’s Renewables team is exclusively partnering with a leading renewable energy company, a market leader in solar operations, to recruit a Field Service Engineer covering the South of England, with occasional travel for business needs. The role involves onsite service and maintenance of large-scale solar assets. This strategically important Field Service Engineer role comes with a salary of up to �40k plus a vehicle. Responsibilities and Duties: Reporting to the Service Team Leader, you will: * Visual inspection activities, cleaning and report to management team. * Routine maintenance activities on modules, inverters, cables and connectors, DC and AC distribution boxes. * Routine maintenance activities on module mounting systems, fence and gates, inverter and transformer stations. * Routine maintenance activities on monitoring and communication equipment. * Routine maintenance activities on security system devices. * Fault finding on electrical components by means of visual inspections or professional site measurement activities. Professional Qualifications: We are looking for someone with the following: * NVQ Level 3 Electrical Certification or equivalent. * At least five years’ experience in industrial electrical installation and maintenance. * Previous Solar PV maintenance experience is preferred. * Strong knowledge of DC electrical systems, high-voltage equipment, and occupational health & safety regulations. * Proficiency in MS Office * Full, clean UK driving licence. Personal Skills: The Field Service Engineer role would suit someone who is: * Willing and flexible to travel to sites as and when required * Strong in problem-solving and able to work under pressure. * Passionate about renewable energy and high-quality service delivery.
