Job Description
Equifind are supporting a global investment platform specialising in music catalogues and royalty streams in the hire of a qualified Fund Controller.
The group has grown to become one of the largest institutional owners of music IP globally, managing tens of thousands of songs and billions of dollars of assets. Following a recent strategic milestone, they are now preparing for a new fundraise and are looking to strengthen their fund finance team with the hire of a Fund Controller.
This individual will act as a key interface between the group, fund administrators, external advisers, investors, and both internal and external finance teams. The role comes at a pivotal time for the business, with significant involvement in the upcoming fundraise, fund structuring, and the continued development of the platform’s fund infrastructure.
Key duties include:
* Responsible for the accounting and reporting across the fund and its associated holding entities
* Review and sign-off NAV calculations, capital account statements, and investor reporting
* Oversee the consolidation of underlying operating entities into the fund-level reporting
* Assist with the preparation and review of investor disclosures and regulatory reporting requirements
* Act as a key point of contact for auditors, tax advisers, and legal counsel
* Partner with internal analyst teams on fund performance analysis, forecasting, and valuations
* Liaise closely with the Group finance team to ensure alignment on underlying entity reporting
* Develop and implement robust fund finance processes and internal controls
* Strengthen documentation, policies, and operational procedures across the function
Application Requirements
* Qualified accounting qualification.
* A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar fund reporting role.
* Experience of working within real assets or private credit strategies.
* Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
* Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic, and global environment.
* Strategic mindset with strong critical‑thinking and decision‑making capability.
