Early Career Teacher (ECT) – Build Experience in Specialist & Alternative Settings

Are you an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to broaden your experience and develop your skillset across a range of educational environments, from September 2026?

Teaching Personnel are working with a number of specialist SEN schools and alternative provisions and are seeking motivated ECTs who are eager to gain hands-on experience supporting pupils with additional needs.

This is an ideal opportunity for ECTs who are open to exploring different pathways in education while building confidence, adaptability, and classroom presence.

The Role:

* Delivering pre-planned lessons and supporting learning across a variety of settings
* Working with pupils with SEN, including autism, SEMH, and behavioural needs
* Adapting teaching approaches to meet diverse learning needs
* Supporting classroom routines and behaviour management strategies
* Gaining exposure to both mainstream alternative provisions and specialist SEN environments

Ideal Candidate:

* Holds (or is working towards) Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Open-minded, flexible, and eager to learn
* Strong communication and behaviour management skills
* A genuine interest in supporting pupils with additional needs
* Resilient and adaptable in new and varied settings

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
