SEN Teaching Assistant - Wellingborough (via Tradewind Recruitment)
Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting an enthusiastic and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work within our partner schools in Wellingborough. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to support children with Special Educational Needs and to become an integral part of a dedicated school team.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who require additional support to access learning and develop essential life skills. You may be working in mainstream classrooms, specialist units, or SEN schools, supporting students with a range of needs including autism, ADHD, moderate and severe learning difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health needs.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include providing tailored one-to-one or small-group support, assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery, adapting learning materials, and helping pupils stay engaged and motivated. You will play a key role in promoting positive behaviour, encouraging independence, and building strong, trusting relationships with pupils.
We are looking for individuals who are patient, resilient and genuinely passionate about supporting young people with additional needs. Previous experience working with SEN pupils, in education or in care settings, is highly desirable, but we also welcome applications from graduates and those new to education who demonstrate the right attitude and commitment.
