You will join a heavy industrial operation in Hull that supplies critical materials and equipment to customers across the UK. The site runs at pace and requires a reliable Stores Manager to keep stock, materials, and logistics running smoothly during a key period of demand.
Your new role
You will take day‑to‑day responsibility for managing the site stores function, supporting production teams, and maintaining strong control over inventory accuracy. Your work will help the operation run safely and on schedule.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Leading all stores activity across goods‑in, goods‑out, stock control, and material distribution.
2. Managing a small team and allocating daily workloads.
3. Tracking stock levels, investigating variances, and maintaining accurate system data.
4. Working closely with production, maintenance, and procurement.
5. Coordinating deliveries, collections, and supplier interactions.
6. Maintaining site safety, housekeeping, andpliance standards.
7. Supporting continuous improvements and preparing the department for audit activity.
What you'll need to succeed
8. Experience in a Stores Manager or Senior Stores role within heavy industry, manufacturing, engineering, or a similar environment.
9. Strong understanding of stock control processes and ERP or MRP systems.
10. A practical, hands‑on approach with the confidence to run a busy, high‑volume stores area.
11. Goodmunication, planning, and problem‑solving skills.
12. Ability to work as part of a team and drive consistent operational standards.
13. FLT licence (counterbalance or reach) is preferred.
