The University of Oxford is seeking an experienced Coordinator to join the Research Strategy and Policy Unit in Research Services. This role is a newly created position in the new Research Environment Programmes Team that will focus on strategic initiatives to strengthen the research environment. The post-holder will provide administrative and events management support for the strategic initiatives and also contribute to office management of the Research Strategy and Policy Unit.
You will support the three central University working groups that govern the agendas related to research staff, and the research staff representative structure, including assistance for new appointees. You will also design and deliver marketing and communication materials to support research environment initiatives, manage events associated with the programme and with RSPU (e.g. networking events; external visits), including their evaluation.
You will have excellent organisational skills, experience in diary management and organising meetings and events, strong administrative and communication skills, and an ability to develop effective working relationships with a wide range of colleagues at varying levels of seniority. You will also be able to manage your own time, work to deadlines and work independently and as part of a team, with a pro‑active approach to problem‑solving. You will also enjoy working collaboratively with colleagues from across RSPU, Research Services, and the organisation.
