In this role, you will work with a team of talented, operators overseeing the day-to-day operations of plant and field, preparing equipment for maintenance, troubleshooting, and working with the control room for plant optimization and maximizing plant efficiencies.

Minimum Requirements:
* 2 years of utilities plant operating experience in the oil and gas, power plant or pulp and paper industry.
* 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate.
* A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
* A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Key Accountabilities:
* Follow all operating processes and procedures during operations to ensure the safety of our people, equipment, and the environment.
* Prepare and complete daily area logs and communicate significant changes and findings in a timely manner.
* Ensure timely action and process adjustments during plant upsets that are consistent with operational objectives and target outputs.
* Prepare equipment and systems for maintenance and commissioning.
Location & other key details
* You will work out of our Fort Hills Plant in Fort McMurray, Alberta.
* The shift schedule is a 7 days on / 7 days off rotation (7 days on, 7 days off, 7 nights on, 7 nights off; 12-hour shifts)
* You will be on a Fly-In-Fly-Out Rotation from one of the approved hubs of Edmonton or Calgary or a Bus-In-Bus-Out of Fort McMurray.
* This position is safety sensitive.
