Salary:£28,000 - £35,000 plus overtime, and quarterly bonus

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly respected engineering and manufacturing business working at the forefront of composite technology. You’ll be part of a skilled team producing high-precision carbon fibre components for a range of advanced engineering applications.
The role offers the chance to work with pre-preg carbon fibre, delivering exceptional quality and consistency across all laminating processes from tool prep to final inspection.
What you’ll be doing as a Composite Laminator:
* Preparing tools and moulds, including cleaning and applying release agents.
* Cutting and kitting materials in line with build sequences and engineering drawings.
* Performing lay-up operations with precise material orientation and sequence.
* Applying vacuum bagging techniques and manufacturing breather bag kits.
* Carrying out cure operations using autoclaves, ovens and vacuum pumps.
* Ensuring all work meets strict quality, safety and compliance standards.
* Completing accurate records and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
* Attending daily team briefings to review targets, issues and safety updates.
* Reporting any defects or issues promptly to the team leader.
The ideal Composite Laminator will have:
* Proven background in composite lamination, ideally with pre-preg carbon fibre.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
* Good understanding of material shelf life and handling requirements (advantageous).
* Excellent attention to detail, manual dexterity and pride in quality workmanship.
* A proactive and reliable team player who can also work independently.
* Strong communication and time-management skills.
* Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean and efficient working environment.
